Besides grade 304, one of the most commonly used grades manufacture fasteners is 316 grade stainless steel.The benefits of using 316 stainless steel screws include a high resistance to corrosion and high tensile strength. Since the 316 stainless steel grub screws are able to withstand a wide range of corrodents at elevated and low temperatures, 316 stainless steel countersunk screws are used in various industries like paper and pulp, pharma, sugar, petrochemicals etc.

The 316 stainless steel socket head cap screws have good resistance to seawater and are used in marine applications . Hence, they are known as marine grade 316 stainless steel screws. In fact, the 316 stainless steel machine screws are considered to be ideal for use in marine equipment’s.316 stainless steel masonry screws is a self-tapping screw that can be manufactured with or without a corrosion coating. These masonry screws are used on base materials like mortar joints or block, concrete, brick and CMU
One of the features of the 316 stainless steel concrete screws is the alternating high and low threads present on the shaft. During the installation of these screws, the lead thread on its shaft does all the cutting of the masonry material. It is mandatory that a pilot hole is drilled on the base material before inserting the screws. Additionally, the diameter size of the pilot hole must be according to the instruction of the manufacturer else, the screw could either break during installation or it will not be able to provide the rated holding force.
316 stainless steel self drilling screws eliminate the need for a pilot hole and are numbered from 1 through 5. The drill shape point makes it suitable for applications involving the drilling of soft steel or other soft metals. So, the larger the number of the screw, the thicker the material it can drill through.316 stainless steel coach screws are large, have a square shaped head and are used in timber work in buildings. Similarly, 316 stainless steel cladding screws find applications involving wood work or timber.
