The alloy steel f22 slip on flanges are a low alloy steel grade which nominally contains about 2.25% Chromium in its alloy. The flanges made from this steel grade alloy is widely used in applications involving oil patch wellhead for connectors, hangers and block valves. Hardness levels  of up to 22 HRC are approved in the NACE MR0175. The low alloy steel f22 grade is often used as the base metal for clad components.

When the astm a182 f22 flange is delivered or supplied in a Normalised, Hardened and Tempered Condition, where the 0.2% Proof Stress is a minimum of about 75 KSI, the elongation of the alloy steel f22 flanges  stands at 18 % and its ultimate tensile strength is a minimum of around 95 KSI .
