The size of the fasteners covered in the SS Gr.6 Fasteners standard ranges from ¼” to 4” and the metric size covered by the SS Gr.6 Bolts specification is from the metric M6 to a nominal size of M100.One of the main components in the ASTM A194 Grade 6 Nuts consists of chromium. The content of chromium in the A194 Gr 6 Hex Nuts specification fasteners is between 11 % - 13.5%. Chromium added in the Ss Grade 6 Nuts gives these fasteners desirable mechanical and physical properties like enhanced tensile strength and an increased corrosion resistance.
