Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened metal. By weight , Nickel 200 Bar Stock is 99.6% wrought nickel  and is considered to be commercially pure. The DIN 2.4066 Bar has good mechanical & physical properties. For instance, the ASTM B160 N02200 has excellent resistance to many corrosive compounds as well as corrosive environments.

Some useful features of the Nickel 200 are its magnetic and magneto strictive properties. Therefore, they can be used for those applications which do not have magnetic requirements. Besides these properties, the Ni200 Bar has a high thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, low gas content and low vapor pressure.

Good ductility, Good weldability, low work hardening rate and solderability are another set of characteristics that can be enhanced depending on the forming and machining of the Nickel 200 Flat Bar. The corrosion resistance of Nickel Alloy 200 Round Rod makes it especially useful in order to  maintain the product’s purity. For instance, it can be used in the handling of foods, synthetic fibers, and caustic alkalies. Structural applications of the Nickel 200 Welding Rods can be used where the resistance to corrosion is considered to be an important aspect of the application.

Other applications include chemical shipping drums, electrical and electronic parts, aerospace and missile components.Although it is exceptionally resistant to caustic alkalis at different concentration levels at varying temperatures. The corrosion resistance of nickel 200 is better in de-aerated acid. Nickel 200 Rod can be shaped through all of both,  hot working as well as  cold working techniques. The Nickel 200 Bar can be hot worked between a temperature range of 649°C  to 1232°C  . Heavy forming is carried out on the nickel 200 bar at temperatures above 871°C. While annealing is done at temperature between 704°C and 871°C.

Applications of the Nickel 200 Bar Stock can be seen in Electronic components, Electrical components, Battery connections/terminals, Lead in wires for heating elements, Aerospace components as well as Chemical processing, Food processing.
It can also be applied in the processing of Synthetic fibres.
