Flanges are able to withstand different pressures at varying temperatures. As temperature increases, the pressure rating of the flange will decrease. For instance, a Class 150 flange is rated to approximately 270 PSIG at ambient conditions. The same class flange is rated 180 PSIG at approximately 400°F, 150 PSIG at about 600°F, and 75 PSIG at roughly 800°F. In other words, when the pressure used in the environment goes down, the temperature range or rating goes up and vice versa.
An additional factor that determine the manufacture or the production process of the 900 lb rtj flange dimensions include details such as its construction from different materials. Materials used in the manufacture of the, 8 900 lb flange dimensions include alloys such as different stainless steel grades, cast and ductile iron, carbon steel etc. Each material used to produce the 4 900 lb flange dimensions has a different pressure rating.
Pressure-temperature ratings for the 8 900 lb flange dimensions are maximum allowable working gage pressures in terms of bar units at the temperatures in degrees Celsius. For intermediate temperatures, linear interpolation of these flanges is permitted. Interpolation between class designations such as the ansi 900 lb flange dimensions is not permitted.
Pressure-temperature ratings applied to 900 lb weld neck flange dimensions joints need to confirm to the limitations placed on bolting as well as on gaskets. These limitations are made keeping in accordance with good practice for alignment and assembly of the 900 lb ansi flange dimensions . Use of these pressure ratings for flanged joints that do not conform to these limitations are the responsibility of the user.
The temperature shown for a conforming pressure rating for a 900 lb flange dimensions
is the temperature of the pressure-containing shell of the section. Generally, this temperature used is the same to that of the contained fluid. Using a pressure rating that corresponds to a temperature other than that of the contained fluid in the 900 pound flange dimensions is the responsibility of the buyer. This again is a subject to the requirements of all the applicable codes and regulations. For example, for those environments, in which the temperature can drop below -29°C, the rating must not be greater than the rating shown for a temperature of -29°C
.
