The standard ASTM A350 specification covers both carbon and low-alloy steel forged or ring-rolled flanges, forged fittings and valves. These ltcs astm a350 gr lf2 cl1 components are intended primarily to be used in low temperature applications and require notch toughness testing. The ltcs pipe flanges are manufactured to corresponding to either the ASME or API dimensional standards. The forged material astm a350 gr lf2 may be made from either ingots, billets, blooms, slabs or bars through hot-forging process.

The steel astm a350 lf2 equivalent material shall be fully killed and fine-grain. The sa-350 lf2 flange covers several grades and classes such as Grade LF1, Grade LF2, Grade LF3, Grade LF5, Grade LF6, Grade LF9, Grade LF787; and Class 1, Class 2, Class 3. All the forgings supplied by the astm a350 lf2 flanges manufacturers are generally ultrasonically tested.

Forgings of grades like the astm a350 lf2 class 1 and class 2 apart from Grade LF787 must be furnished in a normalized condition. The a350 lf2 weld neck flanges can also be furnished in either a normalized and tempered condition, or a quenched and tempered condition.
All quenched forgings of the astm a350 gr. lf2 class 1 must be tempered at a minimum temperature of 1100 °F . Following this the sa 350 lf2 class 1 must be held at that temperature for a minimum of 30 min/inch of maximum thickness, but in no less than 30 min. For Grade LF1 and forged a350 lf2 plate flanges, the weld metal shall be deposited using carbon steel electrodes like E 7015, E 7016, or E 7018, in compliance with the AWS A 5.1. Similarly, for a350 gr lf2 flange, the weld metal must be deposited using a low alloy grade steel electrodes such as E 7015-A1; E 7016-A1, or E 7018-A1 in compliance with the AWS 5.5.
Usually, the material astm a350 gr lf2 is a general Carbon steel grade that is supplied either in a Normalised, Normalised and Tempered condition or a Quenched and Tempered condition. The a350 grade lf2 is typified by having both moderate strength and impact toughness. Therefore the astm a350 grade lf2 cl1 is used extensively in the manufacture of flanges and fittings. The a350 gr lf2 cl 1 is also used in applications where corrosion resistance is not important, namely in cold temperature service.
